In July, Doubleday hosted a two-day autograph and card show with an appearance from one of the all-time Dallas Cowboy greats, Mel Renfro. The former 10-time pro bowler and NFL Hall of Fame defensive back who spent his entire 14-year career with the Cowboys was available for autographs and pictures as part of the card expo.

This marks the first time in 20 years that the Valley has experienced a sports card show. Dealers from throughout the state showed off hard to find memorabilia including autographed footballs, helmets and baseball cards, among other sports collectibles.
